The Game Awards 2021 Has Partnered Up With Spotify
The Game Awards 2021 have announced a partnership with the streaming giant Spotify.
The streaming giant Spotify will be partnering up with the annual gaming awards ceremony, The Game Awards 2021. The streaming platform will be serving as the ceremony’s official audio streaming platform. Spotify took to their official Twitter account, to make the announcement, via a tweet. And, starting today, via a series of podcasts, will be celebrating the role played by music in gaming.
The podcast series named, Inside The Game Awards, the four episode long podcast series is already up and streaming on Spotify. The podcast will feature Geoff Keighley, owner, producer and host of the event, who will be joined by prominent faces from the gaming industry, that include Keza MacDonald, Video Games Editor at The Guardian, Tina Amini, Editor-Chief at IGN as well as Jeff Gerstmann, the founder of Giant Bomb.
The podcast will be premiering on a weekly basis and it will be leading up to the final event which will be held on December 10, 2021. The podcast series will be discussing the nominees, throwing light on all the inner workings, a host of gaming news, the world premieres and the musical elements in gaming.

In an official blog post, Geoff Keighley stated, “we’re happy to welcome Spotify as our exclusive audio streaming partner for The Game Awards as we celebrate video games and the incredible people behind them”. He further added that, “we’ve always strived to bring the community together and working with Spotify will help us reach audiences around the world”.
The Game Awards is an annual event. It is held to honor and recognize all the contributions that are made, all around year, in the video gaming industry. First held in the year, 2014, the yearly event witnesses some of the best in the world of gaming being recognized and honoured, in a ceremony that could very well be termed as the Oscars for the industry. This year’s edition of the event will be held on December 9, 2021, in Los Angeles at the Microsoft Theater.

In addition to the awards presentation, The Game Awards 2021 will also stand witness to the many games and video game trailers that will be premiering as well as the return of The Game Awards Orchestra, along with “first look world premieres and new game announcements”.
The Game Awards 2021 Will Be Streamed Live From Their Official YouTube & Twitch Channels On December 10, 2021
Unlike last year, this year the event will be in person. However, the attendees would be invite only. It was announced that the event will also be streamed across forty different platforms for viewers all across the world, for those interested to watch it from the comforts of their home.
