Nominations For The Game Awards 2021 Announced!
The Game Awards 2021 will be held at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, on December 9, 2021.
December 9, 2021, is less than a month away and with it will be arriving the much anticipated and most awaited event, which could also very well be the biggest event for gamers as well as the gaming industry. You know what we are talking about, right? It is The Game Awards 2021.
The Game Awards will be back again with a live audience, after 2019, at the Microsoft Theater and will be hosted by gaming veteran and creator and executive producer of the show, Geoff Keighley.
The nominations for were earlier announced by Geoff Keighley. Leading the nominations is Arkane Studio’s Deathloop, which has bagged nine nominations across eight categories (Ozioma Akagha and Jason E. Kelley were separately nominated for the Best Performance category for Julianna Blake and Colt Vahn, respectively), including the coveted Best Game of The Year category. Right on its heels is Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which has bagged six nominations. Followed by Psychonauts 2 and It Takes Two coming up third with five nominations each.

In addition to the awards presentation, the event will also be standing a witness to the many games and video game trailers that will be premiering as well as the return of The Game Awards Orchestra, along with “first look world premieres and new game announcements”. Unlike last year, this year the event will be in person. However, the attendees would be invite only. It was announced that the event will also be streamed across forty different platforms for viewers all across the world, for those interested to watch it from the comforts of their home.
The Game Awards is an annual event that is held to honor and recognize all the contributions that are made, all around year, in the video gaming industry. First held in the year, 2014, the yearly event witnesses some of the best in the world of gaming being recognized and honoured, in a ceremony that could very well be termed as the Oscars for the industry.
