Halo TV Series Update Paramount Plus Releases Character Posters For The Spartans- Inner

The first season of the upcoming Halo TV Series is all set to arrive on Paramount Plus on March 24, 2022. That is less than a month away. And Paramount is making sure that the anticipation around the game continues to grow, not that we need much help on that front, we already are super excited about it.

However, the excitement kicked up a few notches higher because, late last night (or very early in the morning, depending upon where you are geographically located). The reason behind it being that Paramount Plus took to the show’s official Twitter account, to reveal the faces of the Spartans, via a tweet.

We got our first glimpse of the Master Chief’s team mates, back when the first official trailer for the Halo TV Series was revealed during The Game Awards, late last year. And now, these new character posters give us a closer look at the Spartans, in all their glory.

The new character posters reveal Natasha Culzac from The Witcher as Riz-028, Bentley Kalu from Avengers: Age of Ultron as Vannak-134 and Kate Kennedy from Handy as Kai-125. The three of them, namely Riz-028, Vannak-134 and Kai-125, along with the Master Chief make up the Spartans.

Previously, Paramount Plus had, via another tweet, released character images for the upcoming Halo TV Series, revealing Natascha McElhone of Californification fame as Dr. Halsey. In addition to McElhone, the tweet also revealed Bokeem Woodbine from Fargo as Soren, and last but not the least, Yehin Ha from Reef Break as Kwan.

In other news, during the IGN Fan Fest, 343 Industries’ Studio Head of Transmedia and Halo’s Executive Producer, Kiki Wolfkill, revealed that the Halo TV Series would finally reveal the Master Chief’s face, something that is yet to happen in the games where the Master Chief’s face is, at all times, hidden behind a helmet. However, it must be noted here that the game and the TV series would be having different canon. This, in other words, means that just because the show is showing his face, the game wouldn’t necessarily be following suit.

In a conversation with IGN’s Executive Editor, Ryan McCaffrey, Wolfkill says, “I think we set out to tell a character story and a personal story”. Adding that, “And once we really got into what that story was, it became clear that you really needed to see the person in the armour and under the helmet.

Confirming that, “You will see his face”, she further elaborates, “For some people, it’s been a moment 20 years in the making, and for other people it is something that feels very hard to imagine. We absolutely respect both sides of that fence, those who really want to see Chief’s face and those who really don’t. But for the nature of this story, it felt really important to connect with the Master Chief in a different way, and that meant showing the face.

The first season of the upcoming live action Halo TV Series will be premiering on March 24, 2022, on Paramount Plus. The show will be starring Pablo Schieber of American Gods fame, as the Master Chief and NataschaMcElhone of Californication fame, as Dr. Halsey. Jen Taylor will be providing her voice for the Master Chief’s much loved AI assistant, Cortana. The show has already been given the green light for a second season even before the first season premiered.
